Bakkah - an ancient name, once spoken in reverence, for a city known today as Mecca. A place where the divine meets the earthly, where souls converge in their deepest acts of devotion. For thousands of years, Mecca has been a sanctuary, a sacred heartbeat at the centre of the world. This fragrance, Bakkah, is more than a scent—it is a tribute to that holiness, a reflection of a city that has stood through the ages. Commissioned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the revered ruler of Oman, known for his legendary and opulent fragrance collection, Bakkah draws from the finest materials ever gathered. To create this masterpiece, the Sultan entrusted the most skilled distillers and artisans of his time to source the highest quality oud, rose, frankincense, musk, and ambergris. Each ingredient was chosen with the same care and reverence given to the rituals surrounding the Kaaba. The oud, harvested from ancient trees, the rose and frankincense carrying the weight of centuries of tradition. Together, they recreate the sacred scent once used to perfume the very Kaaba itself. Though this composition could be called a Ghaliya, we chose the name Bakkah—a symbol of the city’s forgotten name and the 30 years this perfume has patiently matured, each note aged like history itself. This is not just a fragrance; it is a story, a pilgrimage in every breath—a scent that carries with it the depth of devotion, sacrifice, and timeless beauty.
